HOPE – THE MESSAGE FOR THE SEASON
Hope is deeply connected to the virtues of truth, justice, and love. We are called to be witnesses of this hope, stating with our lives that love is stronger than hate, justice will prevail over injustice, and truth will dispel the darkness of lies and deceit.
As we enter this season of Thanksgiving and celebration of the anticipation of Jesus (Advent) and his birth (the Nativity of Jesus), as well the celebration Hanukkah (the festival of lights) and Kwanzaa (first fruits of the harvest), we are invited to reflect on the past year, have gratitude for the present, and anticipation for the future. It is a time when the lights illuminate the darkness, and appreciation of the symbols of the season help us through our challenges.
This season of celebrations gives us an opportunity to embody hope by reaching out to others, offering kindness, and sharing our blessings. In the end, it is hope that anchors us and lights the way forward.
